USEFUL PROGRAMS

C Cleaner is a very useful program for keeping your PC healthy and running smoothly.

You are able to fix small errors in your registry, clean out fragmented files and any rubbish left on your PC from surfing the Net.

Sea Tools is extremely useful. If you want to know if any of your hard drives are damaged or about to give up the ghost, this is the tool for you

There are a number of tests you can run  on internal and external drives and you will get either a pass or a fail as a result.

Very easy to use.

Core Temp is used to monitor the temperature of your CPU cores and other vital information that could affect the performance of your PC.

If you have just built a PC and want to make sure the CPU fan is doing its job install this program and you will know exactly how well the fan is working.

Tip: you can link this program up with a windows 7 gadget "All CPU Meter". When Windows boots, core temp can be set to start with it and it will display the core temps next to the CPU usage meters so you can monitor the usage and temp at the same time.

CPU-Z. If you are going to over-clock your PC you are going to want to use
CPU-Z

This program gathers information on your system so you can see exactly what's going on with frequencies and voltages.

HeavyLoad is another over clocking program

If you want to check that your rig is not going to get too hot with your clock and is going to remain stable, this program will do just that for you.

Flip the switch and HeavyLoad will stress all resources of a PC (the CPU, RAM, hard disk, operating system, etc.) which will simulate being under heavy load from a game or demanding program. 

If your temps are still ok and your PC hasn't given you the blue screen of death, that is a good sign that your rig is sound and ready to be used.

Win Rar.  Every PC should have Win Rar installed on it.

All you will ever need for zipping and unzipping files.  

You can even extract the contents of an ISO with this program 

Daemon Tools is used to convert CD/DVDs into virtual disks that are kept on your computer. You can also mount these virtual disks (ISOs) by using Daemon Tools.

Daemon Tools can emulate up to 4 virtual drives for you to mount (insert) or unmount (eject) your images (ISOs)

Make an ISO of your disk, pack the CD/DVD away and just mount the ISO when ever you want to play it. Your disks will never get scratched or damaged again.

Daemon Tools (Light) is free to download. 

K-Light is one of many Codec packs used to decode different movie and music file formats.

If you have ever encountered the problem of not being able to watch a certain movie file on your PC then odds are you were missing the appropriate Codec to decode the file.

K-Light is one of the most complete and comprehensive Codec packs and a must for all PCs

VLC is one of the best multi media players out there today.

It plays most movies and music. You can also view photos with it.

A very convenient all in one media player.

IrfanView, in my opinion, is one of the best image viewers available today.

It opens almost every image type and is super easy to use.

Perfect if you want to resize a photo that you want to email that's too big to upload.
